Dr. Faouzi Kossentini, President and Chief Executive Officer, received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989, 1990, and 1994, respectively. Prior to joining eBrisk Video, Dr. Kossentini had been the Director of Technology for the video encoder products at Cisco. Earlier, Dr. Kossentini had been the President and Chief Executive Officer of UB Video, which he founded and made a world-wide leader in H.264 video encoding technology, developing products that are still used today in the video conferencing and broadcast markets, and which was acquired by Cisco in February 2006. Prior to 2003, Dr. Kossentini was a professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, doing research in the areas of signal processing, communications and multimedia. Dr. Kossentini has more than two hundred journal and conference publications, as well as dozens of ISO/ITU standards contributions, patents and white papers.

Dr. Michael J. Horowitz, Chief Technology Officer, is a leading architect of low-delay video codecs. Prior to joining eBrisk Video, Dr. Horowitz led the engineering team at Vidyo that developed the first commercially available H.264 SVC video codec. Earlier, at Polycom he led the engineering team that developed the first commercially available in-product H.264 AVC video codec. Dr. Horowitz has 28 patents and patents pending. He received an A.B. degree with distinction in physics from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1986 and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1998. Dr. Horowitz has served as chair for several ad hoc groups including the ad hoc group on High-level Parallelism during the ITU-T | ISO/IEC Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding’s (JCT-VC) development of H.265/HEVC. Dr. Horowitz has served on the Technical Advisory Board of RipCode, Inc., Vidyo, Inc. and Vivox.

Robert Danvers, Chief Operating Officer, since 1981, has served as president of Danby Financial Management Corp., which specializes in support and services for public and private companies including: regulatory compliance and filing support, scientific research support, financial management, business development, planning, and corporate support for developing businesses. Mr. Danvers has been involved in many business developments in his career as well as a partner with a US based investment and merchant banking companies. Previously Mr. Danvers was working in research at a regional brokerage firm and as tax specialist with a national accounting firm. Mr. Danvers holds a B.Sc degree in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia (1974). He also became Chartered Accountant in 1982.
